I was born in Bielefeld, Germany and after I finished my education as Industrial Designer, I sold every thing I had and started my journey to discover the world.

Because I was very interested in the Asian way of life, Philosophy, Literature and Religion, I travelled in the following 4 years to India, Nepal, Tibet, Sri Lanka, China, Pakistan, Burma, Thailand, Singapore, Japan und Malaysia.

Whenever possible I stayed with local families, in monasteries, cheap lodges or I slept under the open sky.

I financed the trip through dealing with Gem-Stones and Jewellery or I worked locally at any job I could get.

1983, I had only USD 10 left, I decided to travel for one year to Melbourne, Australia for work.

I found a job as Compressor-Designer and used one of the first 3D-Design-CAD software for my work and here I discovered my interest in virtual computer graphics.

Because I liked the Australian way of life and I made a lot of very good friends I stayed in the end 13 years.

 In the moment I am living again in Bielefeld.

Two years ago, I discovered the Terragen-Software and the generation of photorealistic landscapes became a hobby of mine.
